Founded in South Australia in 2010 by an optometrist and a computational physicist, EyeSpace® was created with a shared goal: to make specialty contact lenses more accessible by overcoming major limitations in traditional fitting methods.

    I am a practicing optometrist, entrepreneur and industry innovator based in Adelaide, Australia. I co-founded EyeSpace® with the vision of making specialty contact lenses accessible to the public as well as simple to dispense for my fellow colleagues in the eye care space.

    I am incredibly proud of the individuals that make up EyeSpace®. Each and every one of you has played a role in the success and journey we are on! I am still living this highlight and can't wait to see what the future holds.

    I am often described as "the glue" at EyeSpace®. I interface with multiple software and communications platforms, providing technical support, troubleshooting and training of the EyeSpace® software and online platform. I support the accounts and clinical team by maintaining an effective and efficient response to our customers as well as assisting optometrists to get the best out of EyeSpace® products and services.

    Following the Sumo in Japan is great fun. Chiyonofuji is historically my all-time favourite. I've climbed Mt Fuji in the 1980s and saw the curvature of the Earth. I also enjoy riding my bicycle to and from work daily.

    I've worked in contact lenses since the late 1970s, including 25 years in manufacturing with OPSM, Nu-Contacts Laboratories (as founding director) and CooperVision. In 2012, I became a director at Innovative Contacts; since its 2023 merger with EyeSpace®, I've been Technical Product Consultant.

    I enjoy motorbike riding and family time on a tree farm in the Adelaide Hills. Too many hobby collections to list. Go Crows and Redlegs.

    I am a therapeutically qualified optometrist and Clinical Research & Development Manager at EyeSpace®. I lead a global clinical team delivering practitioner education and technical support, with particular expertise in EyeSpace® Scleral. I also work closely with EyeSpace® leadership across clinical research, regulatory strategy and product development.

    I enjoy a limoncello spritz and highly recommend "The Rest Is History" podcast.

    I am a therapeutic optometrist, graduating from Flinders University in 2019. I enjoy clinical optometry and seeing patients, though I have a keen interest in research and contact lens design, which is what I bring to EyeSpace®. I love the challenge of fitting contact lenses to complex eyeballs.

    I am a passionate home cook, curious about just about everything, and above all, I enjoy a beer with friends in the sun.

    I work at the intersection of mathematics, optics, and software. My focus is modelling the shape of the eye using data from corneo-scleral (CSP) and corneal topography instruments, and turning that data into models that inform contact lens fitting and optical design.

    I was the first patient to ever be fit with an EyeSpace® Forge® Ortho-K contact lens back in 2012.

    I've been interested in programming and computers from a young age and started studying computer science in 2024. EyeSpace® very kindly took me on as a junior developer in the summer break of 2024, and I've been helping out ever since by building visualisation tools.

    I'm particularly interested in: spearfishing, rock climbing, playing drums, bass, producing music, painting, electronics and reading old literature.

  1. Identifying the problem

    Existing options for complex, irregular corneas were limited, expensive, inconsistent and difficult to scale. A clear need for a better solution arose for contact lens healthcare.

  2. Innovative Contacts founded

    Innovative Contacts was founded in Australia and New Zealand to provide fitters with high-quality, customised contact lens solutions for complex irregular corneas.

  3. EyeSpace® founded

    Launched by optometrists with a shared vision to combine clinical insight with advanced technology, creating a more integrated and scalable approach to customised contact lenses.

  4. Building the platform

    Developed our first R&D platform, including clinical testing, software development, and early manufacturing workflows to drive consistency, scalability, and better patient outcomes.

  5. Expanding the global team

    Recruited experienced international leaders in clinical, research, and technology growing our capabilities in design, software, manufacturing and clinical support across multiple markets.

  6. Product expansion

    Broadened our product range with new lens designs, materials, and application methods addressing more complex visual needs and enhancing patient outcomes worldwide.

    Transitioned to a fully integrated global ophthalmic platform connecting patients, practitioners, laboratories and software, with enhanced automation, artificial intelligence and cloud-based systems.

  9. Strategic consolidation

    Consolidation of Innovatus Technology with Innovative Contacts Australia, and Innocon South Africa strengthens platform integration, operations and global scalability.

  10. EyeSpace® Online

    Launch and acceleration of EyeSpace® Online, expanding cloud-based workflows, patient management, practitioner connectivity and digital ordering.

  11. Cape Town laboratory opens
